Description
This listing is for a Vintage 1950's model electric GE 24" box fan that has been in the attic for 20+ years. It is a "made in America" classic! It is heavy, approx. 28 pounds, too heavy for my elderly mom to use! It powers up great, absolutly no vibration, powerful & quite. It does an excellent job of cooling that will do better then any light weight fans made today! It has a thermostat that turns the fan on and off at set temperatures. It is a 3 speed with low, medium & high, but the switch only turns to low & medium on which it works great. The switch does not turn to high and I am afraid to force it as I do not want to break it. The chrome grills are in good condition for the age, shiny but some light spots. The chrome by the handle is shiny like new. The box and blades are light grey. It has GE red emblems on both sides and the front grill has an emblem near the bottom that says "Automatic". It does have some imperfections which I have tried to point out in the pictures the best I could. They are: A few small dents in the metal box, a few spots that will not come off when I tried to clean them, a small 1/4 inch blotch of red paint or nail polish near the bottom corner, a few age cracks in the red rubber handle that are barely visible and don't affect the strength of it, and the inside of the box is dirty, (I cleaned the blades & motor). If this box was painted, other then the couple small dents, it would look like new. It really runs great and I would not sell it if I had any need for it! Please email me at least 24 hours before auction end with any questions. This is sold "as is" and there is a $10 packaging fee on top of the shipping calculator fee. Thanks for looking and I hope this goes to someone who can really appreciate the genuine american craftsmanship of it!
