' Description This is a Silky Oak set of shelves or hutch and it comes with eight vintage scoops that were made in Germany. You can use the shelves as a spice / herb stand on your bench, attach it to a wall and add your own collection of kitchen items for display such as egg cups, salt and pepper shakers, old tools, kitchenalia, the choice is yours. The shelves are made entirely of Silky Oak timber some with a lovely tiger stripe grain, it is a golden honey colour and it has four shelf areas as well as the sections for the small scoops. The top of the shelves has a flat top and a smooth routed edge panel. The bottom has a matching routed edge plinth and it is in good condition and well made. The small scoops are made of ceramic material with a small flat handle and the name of the spice or herb is printed on the front in black letters. They are for...Mustard, Pepper, Allspice, Cloves, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Ginger and Thym. The scoops have Germany stamped in blue on the base and an upside down beehive symbol on some. Overall the scoops are in good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. They all have some minor age speckles and a few have mold marks. Ginger has a flea bite mark to the top corner of the front. Cloves has some flea bite marks to the right side of the front.  Mustard and Thym both have light crazing and Thym has light discolouration to the handle. The last picture was taken with a flash, there was a storm coming and the other items in the picture are for display only and not included in the auction. The shelves are 672mm or 67.2 cms or 27 5/8" high x 384mm or 38.4 cms or 15 1/8" wide overall x 124mm or 4 7/8" deep overall. The shelves are 92mm or 3 5/8" deep. The scoops are 80mm or 3 1/8" wide overall x 112mm or 4 3/8" long overall and 54mm or 2 1/8" high overall.
