This is a fancy photo album that features a hand-decorated Italian Embossed Leather cover. This album documents the award of the Medal of Merit in Gold to the recipient by the National Minister of Education in May, 1939. This is a fairly scarce award, and rarely bestowed. There are 9 professional photographs -- all of them measuring 7 by 9 inches on glossy heavy paper stock. There are 10 heavy pasteboard leaves holding the photographs on one side only.
