The dome color is a rich blue tint.  It has been attributed to the Dudson family potteries, pre-1898 Dudson & Bros. era.  There is a dove trademark stamped into the bottom piece. This piece is in good to very good condition.  the color is vivid, and the overlay angel and oak pattern appears to be fully intact.  The base shows minor discoloration from use, but no serious staining.  There is a slight crack in the ornamental finish around one of three vent holes at the top of the dome. The dome measures approx. 8 3/4" in diameter and 8 1/4" high without the base, including the knob. The base measures 10 1/2" in diameter by 1 1/2" high. Dated to circa mid-1800's, based on comparable pieces.       Shipping We pass shipping costs, including insurance costs straight through to our buyers.  A packaging and handling (s&h) fee is included to cover the cost of materials and labor.  Fees start at $.50 for envelopes and $2.00 for small boxes.  Most s&h fees do not exceed $6.00 except for very large or heavy items requiring additional packaging and labor.
